Beard grooming: shape, line-up & upkeep.
A good beard looks like you did nothing — and that takes a little work. Here's the short version.
Daily care
- Wash 2–3× a week with a gentle beard wash. Skin underneath needs to breathe.
- Beard oil after the shower — softens hair, calms the skin, stops the itch.
- Comb daily in the direction of growth to train it flat.
Line-ups
The line-up is what separates a styled beard from a grown-out one. Cheek line slightly curved, neckline a finger above the Adam's apple. Don't over-shave the cheeks — high lines age fast.
Trim cadence
- Short stubble: every 1–2 weeks.
- Medium beard: shape every 3 weeks.
- Full beard: shape every 4–6 weeks, neckline weekly at home.
